Cab For A Ski-doo Safari 1987

Janek Wiśniewski fell

Hlasko Marek wrote in "Arts and twenty years" that the Poles should have the best literature in the world. Because the desire to create comes from negative experiences. Our country in the last two hundred years experience of partition, the pogroms, unsuccessful uprisings, two world wars that devastated our lands and horrors of totalitarianism. Suponował writer that such an onslaught of misfortunes should result in outstanding literature. But it did not happen. Hlasko words can also be applied to cinema.

wealth of topics that resulted in the difficult years of communist should inspire the masses of developers to create outstanding works of these times. The result is mediocre. Apart from a few examples ("House poor" or "Reverse") Polish directors choose a path by creating a series of martyrdom "required reading" for junior high school students. This was the case film about the murder of Father Jerzy Popieluszko or image of General Fieldorfie. Going to the cinema to see " Black Thursday. Janek Wiśniewski fell "directed by Andrzej Krauze expect to break the dominant trend in Polish cinema presentation of the recent history of the items on their knees.

December '70 Events is painful and even tragic part of our history. The authority has once again shown its true face. And as in Poznan in '56 opened fire on the workers, young people, ordinary citizens gray. Drama is the material of those days at a phenomenal movie. Let's try to look at it from the side. We have the right of people protesting against food price increases, the other standing army with weapons directed against the crowd. We sacrifice and personal tragedies. Moral dilemmas on the shooting - yes, probably they had. In addition, the struggle for power tops of the ruling People's Republic. Why, it is truly Shakespearean drama. Not just set the camera and film. But before you write a screenplay. Develop a form by which we will tell our story. Select the appropriate visual form for what we want to show. And our work done. Does this happen in the case of "Black Thursday"?

Antoni Krauze creates his story on several levels. At first, we have the story of Bruno Drywy, worker, a nice husband and father of three children, who with his family moving to Gdynia. From his perspective, we see the December events at the individual level. And here the first problem. The characters are paper. Nice, hard-working, without blemish. The quiet family life, as the primer. I suspect that the assumption of the creators was to be the everyman but dropped out of the pale. Despite the tragic experience of the family during the days of December Drywów me as a viewer, this situation offended artificiality. This is a huge problem of Polish cinema history. Developers are afraid to make controversial figure, ambiguous, having moral dilemmas. Although the nucleus of such a character appears in "Black Thursday". As much as one would like to see in this film expanded form of the head of the National Council for Urban, who in spite of its principals with the Communist Party is trying to communicate with the strikers. This figure torn between two worlds. Unfortunately, after several minutes it disappears from the screen. Then it is only that "we're good, and there was riot police." Monstrosity.

The second level of narration is a massive scene. The course of the December events shown in a documentary style, by pasting in the course of the narrative portions of authentic videos and then by the army and militia. The shocking scenes which have a strong impression on the viewer. Like the torturers bestiality, torture, beatings ... all filmed in the documentary even form, and hence the effect is startling. You can see the style styling Paul Greengrass, especially with the phenomenal film "Bloody Sunday ." In this case, it is not ground, because we go to good practice.

The third level is the narrative scenes of the Committee meetings Provincial Communist Party with the famous speech of Zeno Kliszki (played by Peter Fronczewski perfect) that the counter-revolution to shoot. Then we have the fragments of Politburo meetings. And there are also scenes of shocking, mostly thanks to her role as Pszoniak Wojciech Wladyslaw Gomulka. Pszoniak gives a show of acting on the boundary charge. It is perfect in this role. At this point let me digress for acting. Besides rzeczonym Fronczewskim Pszoniakiem and acting in this film is at the level of soap opera. Paper as they say badly written questions. Why? I ask you ...

Another, in my opinion scandalous, the issue is the total absence in the film Comrade General Wojciech Jaruzelski , which at that time he served as Minister of National Defence, which is the direct supervisor of soldiers who fired at the workers in the Tri-City. Was the director was afraid to put this form in the scenes meetings of the Politburo. After all, everyone knows that Jaruzelski was there (he wrote about Joseph Tejchma including in his memoirs). Anyway, had to be present as the chief of Defense and member of the Bureau. I do not understand this move by the filmmakers. Anyway, I do not understand many of their actions. Starting with not the best, to say the creation of characters, acting and lack of deep reflection. Exactly. The resulting book, artificial, unambiguous. Just as he did in Wajda's "Man of Iron", where the strike of August '80 was presented from the viewpoint of a cynical journalist who is undergoing a gradual transformation. I would not be misunderstood. The Communists were the bandits who ordered the shooting to their citizens. It's clear and not subject to any discussion. And the film was shown. It was also shown the tragedy of ordinary people. And well, I should be talking to all and sundry that the memory the victims and murderers of responsibility has not disappeared in the mists of history. But why should it, for God's sake, do not do all this good movie? Though modeled on the above "Bloody Sunday" is not only a form of copying, but also to show the heroes. That would be a good movie. On the expressive individual characters, problems, emotions, appeal to the viewer. Because of this lack of "Black Thursday". Emotions are created on the principle that the killing of innocent workers. But showing the characters so that the reception of this is like a movie about World War II, when we see a number of soldiers, who are marching on the enemy, a few or a dozen of them sank to the ground ugodzonych ball. The rest goes on.

I have such a postulate. I want someone to go to Hollywood and tell the Americans about our historical experience. Can anyone tempted and eventually rise to a good film about our recent history.

only benefits the film, besides the two actors, scenes, the image of the Politburo and some group scenes are photos by Jack Petrycki and the song "Janek Wiśniewski fell" in the interpretation of Kazik Staszewski. He could be a great movie, and it came out as usual. Wasted topic. Score 4 / 10.
